The agronomy major of Nanjing Agricultural University can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School established in 1902 and College of Agriculture, University of Nanking, established in 1914. It has been more than a hundred years since then. It is one of the earliest agricultural majors in China. Focusing on the strategic needs of the country, this major trains high-quality talents with basic theories, knowledge and skills in crop production, crop genetic breeding and seed production and management, who can engage in teaching and scientific research, extension and development, production and management related to agriculture and other relevant departments or units.
