Professor Zhao Zhigang, a doctoral supervisor, who has long been engaged in the basic research of the application of rice heterosis. His researches involve discovering new hybrid infertility genes in rice, analyzing the functions of the genes. Besides, he is also engaged in researches about applications of super high yield breeding. 

He has led projects  National Natural Science Foundation of China, The National High Technology Research and Development Program of China and so on. In the recent 5 years, Professor Zhao has published more than 20 SCI papers on Science, Developmental Cell, Genetics and Mol.Breeding.

Recently, Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee issued an official notification declaring that Professor Zhao was chosen to be a member of the fourth batch of Ten Thousand Talent Program.
