研究兴趣
基因编辑是生命科学领域的颠覆性技术,为生物育种提供了新的机遇。利用现存的基因编辑工具在作物基因组中的指定位点引入indel突变、大片段删除,或精准地替换单个或多个碱基的方法已相对成熟。然而,作物中大片段DNA定点插入或替换的操作往往面临效率低、片段长度不足、脱靶率高等挑战,制约了此类操作在育种中的广泛应用。针对这些问题,课题组致力于在作物中建立高效精准的大片段DNA定点插入技术,以满足更广泛的育种应用场景。
利用基因编辑技术可以在作物中创制难以通过自然突变或人工诱变等途径获得的遗传变异类型,并且变异位置明确、易于鉴定,为作物功能基因组学研究提供了便利。课题组利用高通量基因编辑技术,在水稻中挖掘具有育种利用价值的基因或变异,为绿色高效水稻新品种的培育提供原始创新。
